Events for the two days christened Bosco Beat (Friday) and Bosco Tango (Saturday) have 15 city schools participating with the theme; The ethereal leap. It starts each day at 8.30 am with registration and continue till 8.00 pm. Each day`s final round which commences at 4 pm creates the gate crash.

``We send out invitations for schools to participate in this highly sought after annual event,`` says Vice Principal Fr V.T. Jose.

Fr Jose is happy to confess that ``this year we have only 15 schools as five schools are banned from participating this year due to their misbehaviour, last year.``

Last week-end another leading Kolkata school (St James) had nine schools participating in its annual fest. The Don Bosco Fest has 34 events spread out during two days.

``It is common knowledge that host school bags the winners trophy. So we introduced a new system,`` says principal Fr Siby Vadakel.

``It is pretty hard for judges to come up with the winners in very closely contested events. So we give the best five schools, the winner`s trophy,`` says Fr Siby insisting on the educative and participatory value of such talent events.

The judges for the eagerly awaited western music event from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm were DJ Rapper Ritzzze (sic), Mr John Paul from Don Bosco Siliguri and Mrs Betty M. Mathew from St. James Kolkata. This final event had 11 schools participating.

Bosco Fest will continue on Saturday and conclude with Bosco Tango, the talk of the town.
